**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman stemming from an incident near the downtown core during the afternoon hours of Friday November 23rd.

While completing general patrols, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a person as being wanted by police in reference to an outstanding arrest warrant.

The validity of the warrant was confirmed and an arrest of the person took place.

In the course of searching the arrested person incident to arrest, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine tablets was located in her personal effects.

As a result, Jena-Lyn LEVESQUE, 26, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

The accused person remained in police custody and was remanded to appear for a court appearance slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against her.
