**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man stemming from a robbery which occurred at an Algonquin Blvd gas station during the early morning hours of Thursday, December 6th.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers were able to follow foot prints left by the suspect to a Toke street address.

Based on their observations and the careful collection of other physical evidence and a review of video surveillance tapes, a suspect was positively identified.

As a result of the incident, Joshua GREXTON, 26, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Robbery with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Use Disguise With Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Carry a Concealed Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Upon arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled substance.
As a result, an additional charge of

– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
was laid against the accused.

The accused was remanded into custody and is required to attend Provincial Court on December 14th to answer to the charges laid against him.
