**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man in relation to an allegation of robbery which eventually led to his arrest.
Based on their investigation, the Timmins Police Service alleges that the man physically accosted a pedestrian in the Pine North area of Timmins during the early morning hours of Friday, December 21st, and fled with property belonging to the male victim.

The Timmins Police Service was called to the scene and commenced an investigation into the event including collecting a thorough description of the suspect.

A subsequent call for service involving an individual creating a disturbance at an apartment in the immediate area merited a police response.

Responding Timmins Police officers located an agitated man matching the description of the suspect involved in the robbery and being in possession of property of the victim of the original incident.

The suspect was identified by the Timmins Police Service and taken into custody.
As a result, Tyler ANDERSON, 26, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Robbery contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Bail Conditions contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
