**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service – Traffic Section is seeking public assistance in identifying or locating the driver of a black Toyota Corolla involved in a hit and run collision which occurred during the morning hours of Thursday, January 3rd at the corner of Rae Street South and Southern Avenue.

Initial findings indicate that the driver of the black Toyota Corolla struck another vehicle head-on while “drifting” around the corner and colliding with another vehicle.

The vehicle would have significant front end damage and may not have a front bumper left attached to the vehicle.

The male driver is described as being a Caucasian person, in his mid 20’s.

He left the scene of the collision shortly after it occurred.

Dash cam footage was provided from a concerned citizen who happened to be driving by and forwarded a few photos to assist the Timmins Police Service.

The Timmins Police Service urge this driver to attend the police station in order to complete the investigation into this matter.

In the absence of the driver taking appropriate responsibility, anyone who can identify the driver or the current location of this vehicle is asked to call the Timmins Police Service and ask to speak with someone from the Traffic Section or can provide anonymous information by means of Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
