**KIRKLAND LAKE OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On January 18, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The MSV failed to stop for police and fled the area.  

The MSV was located a short while later and in an attempt to stop the MSV, a road block was set up on Goodfish Road. The operator of the MSV attempted to maneuver around a parked, unoccupied cruiser, however the MSV collided with it and fled the scene again.  

Police are asking that any person with information regarding this incident should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
