**DSB 1 NEWS RELEASE**

Timmins High and Vocational School is very proud to host this year’s OFSAA “AA” Boys’ Basketball Championship from March. 4-6, 2019. Timmins will be welcoming 20 of the top “AA” boys’ basketball teams from around the province.

On Sunday, March. 3rd, 2019 the tournament will kick off with a banquet hosted by the Dante Club.
Games will get under way on Monday morning at three sites – Timmins High, Roland Michener Secondary School and O’Gorman. The provincial championship will conclude with “Championship Night” on Wednesday at Timmins High with game times as follows:
Consolation Final – 4:30 pm
Bronze Medal Final – 6:00 pm
Gold Medal Final – 8:00 pm
Tournament passes, good for all games except Wednesday are available at the Timmins High main office and at each gym site. Prices are $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. Wednesday tickets are $5.00 which are good for all semi-finals and finals.
