**SILVERLEAF WRITERS GUILD NEWS RELEASE**

The Board of Directors for the Silverleaf Writers Guild is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Northern Ontario Book Fair!

The event will be held September 28-29, 2019 in Cobalt, ON. The theme of this year’s event will be The Next Generation as the guild focuses on raising up the next generation of writers and readers. The event will feature many books for kids aged teen and under, and well as readings/workshops aimed at a younger audience.

The board would like to emphasize that, despite the theme, there will be plenty of book options for adults. Parents and guardians read too, after all!

The event coincides with Culture Days, a national celebration of Canadian arts and culture. Culture Days is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2019, and the guild anticipates many other cultural events for authors and readers to take in while they’re in town for the fair.

Northern Ontario Book Fair details can be found on the Silverleaf Writers Guild website at www.silverleafwriters.com/annual-northern-ontario-book-fair/. Interested authors can register for the event directly on the guild’s website at a cost of only $40.

Authors are eligible if:

  • they were born in or currently reside in Northern Ontario
  • they have at least one traditional or self-published book to sell
  • books can be any style or genre as long as they are in finished book form (including comic books, graphic novels, and photo books)

If enough money is secured through registrations, arts funding, and sponsorships, the 3rd Annual Northern Ontario Book Fair promises to be the best one yet! The event organizers are working with local partners to arrange special tours and workshops, and are even talking to North American publishing professionals like agents and publishers about hosting talks and pitch sessions at the book fair. We hope this year’s event will open many more doors for Northern Ontario authors!
