**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service, in collaboration with the local Coroner’s Office, is continuing to investigate a sudden death occurrence where two persons have been pronounced as deceased upon being transported to the Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance early Wednesday morning (27 Feb).

This matter remains under investigation by the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division where standard investigative protocols are being followed.

The deceased persons have been positively identified as Brian LAJEUNESSE, 46, and Karen CHESTER, 59, both of South Porcupine.

Next-of-kin notifications have been completed by the Timmins Police Service.

The Timmins Police Service investigators are awaiting results of Post Mortem examinations to confirm the causes of death.

In what appears to be a parallel investigation, a third person has died in similar circumstances and this investigation is ongoing as well.

In this instance, Beverly ISERHOFF, 46, of Timmins, was pronounced as deceased at Timmins and District Hospital early this morning after being found in medical distress at a Kirby Street address.

She was transported to hospital by means of ambulance. Responding Timmins Police Service officers collected evidence linked to illicit drug use from the scene.

In this instance as well, next of kin notifications have been attended to by officers with the Timmins Police Service.
