**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**

On March 22, 2019 shortly before 9:00 a.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a break and enter on Main Street, in the City of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

A few hours later, police received a second call advising that the stolen property, was being sold on a social media site.

On March 23, 2019, OPP located the first suspect on Lakeshore Road, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Guy AUMONT, 44-years-old, of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge, contrary to section 145(5.1), of the CC,
  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC, and
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the CC.

 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2019, in Haileybury.

 

On March 24, 2019, OPP located the second suspect on Ferguson Avenue, in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Alexandre DUGAS, 32-years-old, of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge, contrary to section 145(5.1), of the CC,
  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC, and
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the CC.

 

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2019, in Haileybury.
