**LIVING SPACE NEWS RELEASE**

Living Space would like to inform the community that it has received notice of funding for the Home for
Good (HFG) and Community Homelessness Prevention Initiative (CHPI) grants and is planning to resume full operations ofprograms by May 13, 2019.

Living Space is pleased to report that everyone who accessed Living Space prior to the closure
was provided with assistance based on individual choice and available community resources.

During the short closure, 35 individuals were either supported with a referral to alternative housing, to treatment, or were supported with securing rental accommodations.

Special thanks to the over 30 dedicated volunteers and 15 service partners who gave time to ensure the Free Daily No-Barrier Drop-in program remained operational. Day-time programs are key to connecting individuals with services and with creating a safe place for people to access support. Programs will re-launch on a newly expanded schedule that will provide 24/7 support to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

These programs are possible through the coordination of funding from all three levels of government, as well as through the generous support of the community via donations, partnerships and fundraising events. Special thanks to the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for providing the update on the CHPI and HFG programs.
