**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a two local women stemming from a shoplifting complaint received yesterday evening. Responding Timmins Police Service officer located two suspects a short distance from downtown grocery store who matched the description given by the store manager.

The pair are alleged to have attended the store and made off with approximately $150.00 worth of merchandise.
Once located by the Timmins Police Service, both suspects are alleged to have been found with goods taken from the store. They were arrested without incident.

As a result of this incident, Pamela KOOSEES, 35, and Jade KATAQUAPIT, 20, both of Timmins, and have been charged separately with:
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Both of the accused persons remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.
