**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man stemming from a dispute which took place during the morning hours of Sunday, May 12th, at a Cedar Street homeless shelter facility in Timmins.
The responding Timmins Police Service officers completed their investigation which indicates that a male suspect became upset while within the shelter and is alleged to have damaged walls and a door and door frame of the shelter.

The total damage caused to the facility is pegged at roughly $500.00.
The suspect was identified, located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service as short while later.
As a result of this incident, Ted NAKOGEE, 26, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
