**SPORTS FOR KIDS NEWS RELEASE**

Monday August 26th from 5-8 pm Sportsplex Arena Welcome to Timmins Sports night. Twenty booths of sports organizations demonstrating sports and doing registrations First 100 children ages 3 to 18 get a free wooden hockey stick. First 200 children get a free drink, snack and frosty coupon.

 

August 24th to 26th Fun 3-Person Kayak race at the Timmins Kayak Festival run by HGS and all funds raised going to Sports for Kids Timmins charity. Register on line at City of Timmins Kayak Festival page.  Anyone can sign up for $60.00 a kayak (3 people).  Only thing participants need to bring day of is a life jacket as kayaks are provided.  There will be prizes for the fastest team and the team with the most team spirit.
