**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with theft of cleaning supplies stemming from an incident at the 101 Mall which occurred on Monday, July 22nd.
The matter was reported to the Timmins Police Service and responding officers completed a thorough investigation into the incident and were able to identify and locate the person allegedly responsible for the theft.

As a result of the incident, Jeffrey Dennis SUTHERLAND, 39, of Timmins, was arrested yesterday (July 23) and charged with:
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Breach of Probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
