**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

In keeping with recent developments linked to ongoing investigations by the Criminal Investigations Division, the Timmins Police Service is restricting public access to a residential portion of Schumacher for public safety reasons.

?This containment will remain in effect to allow for investigative measures to take place in regards to confirming the  current whereabouts of a person of interest allegedly involved in recent criminal acts in the Timmins area.

The Timmins Police Service Emergency Response Team has been deployed 

The perimeter of the affected area of containment is being determined and will be made public shortly.

The public’s continued and expected cooperation is appreciated.
