**SCIENCE TIMMINS NEWS RELEASE**

The twenty-sixth annual Science Olympics competition is sponsored by Newmont Goldcorp Mines.

It promotes and develops innovative thinking, problem solving and teamwork.

Science Timmins is hosting the twenty-sixth Regional Science Olympics Competition on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Timmins High & Vocational School. The competition will run from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Sixty-five teams of four students, grades 4 to 12 from the Northeastern Ontario region will solve challenges in three different events :

     Event #1 at 9:30

     Event #2 at 11:00 

     Event #3 12:45

The Award Ceremony will be held in the Bill Dawson Auditorium, T.H.&V.S. at 2:00 PM.
