**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged two local men with assault related offences stemming from a disturbance at a Elm Street North residence which occurred yesterday evening (March 15th).

A disturbance erupted between a number of persons present in the residence where one of the subjects is alleged to have pointed a weapon at other persons. Responding Timmins Police Service officers completed a thorough investigation into the event.

A weapon was located during the investigation.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Nicholas FRONZI, 28, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Pointing a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Carry a Concealed Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

A second subject, Shane REUBEN, 31, of Timmins was arrested and charged with a single count of Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been released from police custody on the strength of an Undertaking with strict conditions including that he attend Provincial Court in Timmins on April 21st to answer to the charge laid against him.
