Fire Crews Battle Midday Apartment Complex Fire on Sterling E

At approximately 11:30AM, a listener notified us of a fire on Sterling. Once on the scene the Apartment Complex at 147 Sterling was on fire.

“It’s a large structure fire, It started in one of the apartments and quickly got up into the roof and the trusses, and the followed those trusses across through other units. You’re probably looking at… and this would just be a guess, but you’re probably looking at four or five units for sure. Everybody was out, no injuries all is good on that front.” -Timmins Fire Chief Tom Laughren

He added that the cause of the fire is still unknown and that there is a considerable amount of water and fire damage but, it is too early to tell how bad it is.
