**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

DAILY COVID-19 UPDATE FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2020

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area since May 10, 2020. The total number of confirmed positive cases is 65, 1 of which remains active. For more information, see phu.fyi/coronavirus.

If you are a business owner or manager and you would like information on what measures you can take to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in non-health care settings, see our Workplace Checklist on our business page: phu.fyi/covid-business. As we develop resources or have information specific to businesses about COVID or other public health topics, you can be the first to know. If you are interested in joining our mailing list, call us or send us a direct message on Facebook with your business name and contact information, including e-mail address.

The PHU advises all residents to continue the public health measures that contributed to this good news. If you are spending time with people outside your household, do it safely: keep 2 metres between yourself and others, or wear a mask where that’s not possible. If you’re sick, please don’t visit and call to get tested. Use proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer, and do not touch your face.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818, or the PHU office in your community. See phu.fyi/offices for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
