**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

DAILY COVID-19 UPDATE FOR MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2020

There have been no new positive cases in the PHU area since May 10, 2020. The total number of confirmed positive cases is 65. No cases are currently active. For more information, see phu.fyi/coronavirus.
The Ontario government announced the gradual resumption of visits to long-term care homes and, retirement homes starting on June 18, 2020. Seniors, including those in these homes, are at a high risk for the worst severe outcomes for COVID-19. It’s likely been a long time since you’ve seen your loved ones but protecting them and keeping them safe is a priority. Do what you can to keep COVID-19 out of these homes by making sure you meet the visitor requirements. For details on those requirements, see: https://files.ontario.ca/mltc-resuming-visits-long-term-car….

If you’re sick, please stay home and call to get tested. Always use proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer, and do not touch your face. When you are around people outside of your social circle: keep 2 metres between yourself and others or wear a mask where that’s not possible.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818, or the PHU office in your community. See phu.fyi/offices for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
