**CITY OF TIMMINS NEWS RELEASE**


In addition to the ability to pay your municipal property taxes and sewer and water billings and as part of City Hall’s plan to phase in municipal services in concert with the provincial Stage 2 reopening of our province, we are pleased to announce that the following services will return for our citizens:

Effective June 17, 2020 citizens will be able to receive the following services at City Hall:
– Purchasing of parking permits;
– Payment of parking tickets;
– Payment of business licenses and lottery licenses;
– Issuance of marriage licenses;
– Commissioning;
 -Committee of adjustment information, payments, etc.;
 Permitting and payment for small accessory structures and temporary tent structures.

-Effective June 22, 2020 citizens will be able to receive the following services at City Hall:
 Provincial Offences for the payment of provincial fines.

-Effective June 24, 2020 citizens will be able to receive the following services at City Hall:
 Building and planning for complete applications and payment of such.

-Effective June 29, 2020:
– The Timmins National Museum and National Exhibition Centre will reopen with restricted services;
– Tourism Timmins will reopen with restricted services.

As a reminder and to ensure the safety of all concerned, payment by debit only will be accepted at this point in time. In order to ensure social gathering restrictions, face-to-face meetings with City staff will continue to be prohibited.

And finally, to ensure your safety and the safety of staff while the pandemic continues to affect us, we have implemented a number of personal safety precautions (social distancing, proper PPE, sanitizing, hand sanitizing stations) which could cause service delays.
