**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service responded to a break and enter at a local animal shelter on Friday July 27th where two puppies, eligible for adoption, had been stolen.

An investigation was undertaken based on the physical evidence left at the scene as well as other investigative means that have brought the investigation to a successful conclusion.

The suspects have been identified and charged with:

– Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Trespass by Night contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Both charged persons are Young Offenders and cannot be identified in keeping with statutory requirements.

The accused persons will be summoned to court and required to attend Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them on a date that yet to be determined.
