**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**

During the month of August 2018, the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 871 calls for service which included the following:

 

  • 25 Violent related incidents
  • 35 Property related occurrences
  • Seven Drug related cases
  • Two Impaired driving offences
  • Six Motor vehicle collisions (personal injury)
  • 20 Motor vehicle collisions (property damage)

 

Officers in the Englehart, Temagami and Temiskaming offices have also patrolled the highways to ensure road safety and conducted traffic enforcement on the highways and waterways throughout the Temiskaming Detachments’ area.

The OPP would like to remind the public, that with school upon us, there will be more traffic and school buses on the roads. Please leave yourself plenty of time, drive carefully and arrive at your destination safely.
