It’s almost time for Santa Claus to come to town!

The Downtown Timmins BIA announced the theme for this year’s Santa Claus Parade will be Toyland.

The parade is the community’s largest single event and the largest parade in the region. Over 1,000 people are involved with the parade as volunteers or groups with the parade itself. More than 50 parade float entries are expected this year, and it’s estimated there will be over 10,000 spectators for the event.

Santa is coming to Timmins on Saturday, November 17th, at 6 PM.

Prior to the parade, there will be donations collected along the parade’s route. Bella’s Boutique will be collecting gently used or new coats, mitts and hats for kids and adults. Donations to the Timmins Local Food Bank will also be collected. And Canada Post’s Walking Mailboxes will be collecting letters for the Big Guy in Red, himself. There will be no “On Street Parking” along the parade route after 4 PM on November 17th.
