The Timmins Chamber of Commerce has a few suggestions for the new federal government.

President, Kurt Bigeau says the incoming government should be focusing on tax burdens, forestry, and mining exploration.

“We’re a non partisan organization but we do look at the issues through the eyes of our members.”

He remained neutral on local candidates as well.

“We’re not in the business of politics.  Politics are left to the politicians and work with whoever is in power and help form policies from those parties to affect our businesses in a positive way.”

The federal election goes Monday, Oct. 19th.
