**MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND FORESTRY NEWS RELEASE**


The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for shooting and abandoning a moose northwest of Timmins.

On October 21, 2018, conservation officers responded to a call from a local resident about an abandoned moose north of Kamiskotia Lake on Winter Lake Road. Officers attended the location and determined that a bull moose had been shot and abandoned in the preceding days.

Earlier in October, conservation officers responded to other calls from the public about moose that had also been shot and abandoned in the Kamiskotia Lake area.
