**NORTHEASTERN CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD NEWS RELEASE**

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board is pleased to welcome Keld Scott to the Senior Administration team as Superintendent of Business.

Tricia Stefanic Weltz, Director of Education, stated “We are so happy to welcome Mr. Scott to our team at the Northeastern Catholic District School Board. We look forward to working closely with him to enhance our Board and strengthen our core business functions to benefit our students, staff, and overall system operations. Mr. Scott’s strong organizational skills and previous experience will only add to our overall business operation.”

The Superintendent of Business will be responsible for:
• Management of the Board’s financial responsibilities including the development of the annual budget, and presentation of the annual budget to the Board for approval;
• Supervising the preparation of the annual financial statements and other financial reports and ensure reports are completed and delivered on a timely basis;
• Supervising the business functions of diverse departments within the Board;
• Overseeing and managing the transportation functions of the Board, including school bus contract offers, grant calculations and the preparation of Ministry of Education reports;
• As a key member of the senior administration team, ensure that all business functions are conducted efficiently and in compliance with relevant legislation, while ensuring alignment with the strategic vision and principles of the Board.

Keld Scott, Superintendent of Business, commented “I am very excited to start work in my new position and really look forward to working with my fellow Superintendents and Managers to assist in improving and building the Northeastern Catholic District School Board business operations.”
