With the end of October comes the end of overnight parking in Timmins. As snowy weather continues to ramp up, overnight parking will come to a halt on major roads, unless signage says otherwise.

The ban on overnight parking lasts from November 1st to April 30th from 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

The fine for parking overnight is $75, with a discount to $50 if the fine is paid within 5 days.

Cars can park overnight in areas with signage that reads “Parking Permitted Unless Otherwise Posted”.

Towing will occur anytime an illegally parked vehicle interferes with winter operations, like snow plowing.

So plan accordingly when you look for overnight parking and avoid parking on city streets so as not to interfere with winter operations in Timmins.
