**TIMMINS PUBLIC LIBRARY NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Public Library – in collaboration with the Silverleaf Writers Guild – will be hosting a variety of events during the month of November in celebration of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Activities will include “Write-In” sessions with the Silverleaf Writers Guild and a Teen Creative Writing Workshop with author Monique Chénier. A Local Author Fair, as well as memoir writing session with Amy Kelsey will also be featured.

NaNoWriMo is a global challenge in which participants are encouraged to write a 50,000 word novel manuscript by the end of the month. To provide some inspiration to participants, as well as offer the community with the opportunity to learn about their local authors, the library and the Silverleaf Writers Guild have created these events to help connect authors, creative writers and readers together in one venue.
