**DSB ONE NEWS RELEASE**

R. Ross Beattie Public School is about to be more beautiful. Mr. Brooks, a shop teacher at the school, is working with a group of grade 8 students on a beautification project. Mr. Brooks is helping the students build a flower garden in front of the school.

This project presents a great opportunity for students to learn and apply new skills. It will also bring a lot of pride in the school for all students and staff.

“I am already looking forward to seeing the finished product next Spring when we plant perennials and annuals in our flower garden! It will certainly beautify the front entrance to our school, ” said Kristi Couture, Principal at the school. “The students love working on this project and making their school more beautiful. We have more projects planned and we can’t wait to see the final results!”, added Jamie Johnston, Vice-Principal.

“I really like helping the school so being able to do this is a lot of fun. It’s a great opportunity to learn more than we would in regular shop class and it will help us in the future,” said Molly Walsh, a Gr. 8 student at the school.
