**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

The Porcupine Health Unit has partnered with the Timmins Youth Organization (Y.O.), a youth-led and adult-supported committee, to host a free and family fun smoke-free movie night. The event will be held at the O’Gorman High School, on Friday, December 7, at 6:00 p.m. Smoke-Free Movies is one of the many projects that Y.O. has undertaken to expose the tobacco industry’s tactics in targeting and recruiting youth and young adults.

There will also be a variety of family fun activities available at the event, such as decorating gingerbread cookies, making ornaments and writing a letter to Santa Claus!

Reporters will be given an opportunity to interview the Health Promoter – Youth Engagement Lead, as well as youth members of Y.O. during the event.

The Porcupine Health Unit is located in Northeastern Ontario, serving the entire Cochrane District and Hornepayne, in the Algoma District. The main office is located in Timmins, Ontario, with branch offices in Cochrane, Hearst, Hornepayne, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Matheson, Moosonee and Smooth Rock Falls.
