**CITY OF TIMMINS NEWS RELEASE**


On Monday, December 31st, 2018 the City of Timmins will be launching a new Website. As part of the customer service improvement strategy the City of Timmins website has been re-designed with a new look and web presence.

The goal of the project was to join all City-run websites into one user-friendly and visually appealing format.

 

The Website will provide a number of new features as well as the improvement of existing features. Listed below are some of these key features:

New Features
– Service Timmins Quick Link: where you will be directed to contact information for Customer Service Representatives that can assist with a multitude of services and inquiries;

– Timmins Recyclepedia App.: The user friendly app allows you to sign up for collection reminders as well as search an item in the new Waste Wizard tool and find out how to properly dispose of various materials and determine the collection day for a given address;
– Quick Links to frequently used pages, services and social media platforms;
– Links to community partners to assist residents and visitors on where to find the information they are looking for as well as a community events calendar;

– “How do I… ” Feature: Optimizing user experience by bringing them directly to their service information request;
– The new toolbar provides user-friendly options to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Improved Features
– Links to all departments listings and existing department websites;
– Efficient Search engine;
– Parking Permit: Buy a permit online or pay for a parking or traffic ticket online;
– Passport Parking: Use the passport cellular phone application or visit m.ppprk.com to make payment for parking in Downtown Timmins both in lots and at meters;
– Transit Tracker: A recently launched feature that provides riders with the estimated time of arrival at their designated stops. You can find it at tracker.transit.ca;
