**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a three local persons stemming from a series of thefts from a local pharmacy last week.

Based on an investigation into a number of articulated thefts from the fragrance counter at a local pharmacy where upwards of $600 in products were taken, the Timmins Police Service was able to identify and locate the persons allegedly responsible for the thefts.

As a result of the incidents on January 9th and again on January 10th, Chaim KATZ, 49, of Timmins has been charged with 2 counts of

– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Additionally, Brandon VIGNOLA, 25, of Timmins has been charged with 2 counts of
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Fail to Comply With Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Additionally, Carina JOANETTE, 22, of Timmins has been charged with 2 counts of
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused persons were arrested yesterday and remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court to answer to the charges laid against them.
