**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged two local persons stemming from a break and enter at a residence located in the south end of the city yesterday afternoon.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers attended the scene of the alleged residential break-in to find two local men hiding in the basement.

Upon arrest, both men were found to be in possession of items taken from the residence

One of the arrested men is alleged to have provided a false name to the police.

As a result, Devin KOOSTACHIN, 27, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Breaking and Entering a Dwelling contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Personation with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Additionally, Ronald SUTHERLAND, 40, of Timmins has been charged with of
– Breaking and Entering a Dwelling contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused persons were held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court to answer to the charges laid against them.
