**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service making an appeal for assistance in identifying the owner and/or operator of a black Jeep SUV passenger vehicle that was involved in a “hit and run” collision.

The collision occurred on Thursday, January 31st, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the corner of Algonquin Blvd West and Preston Avenue in Timmins.

The driver of the black Jeep allegedly rear- ended a City of Timmins vehicle fled the scene after the collision occurred.

The Jeep would have obvious damage to its front bumper nearer to the driver’s side.

In the absence of the driver, or the owner, taking the appropriate responsibility and attending the police station to have this matter addressed, the Timmins Police Service is appealing to anyone with viable information to call the Timmins Police at 705-264-1201, quoting incident # TI19002226.
