**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On February 19, 2018 shortly before 12:30 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a theft on Jaffray Street, in the City of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect covered his face when he entered the store and stole a case of beer. The suspect left on foot and a short time after, police located and arrested the male. 

The accused is 22-year-old Jesse DODD of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario and he is charged with the following:

  • Theft under $5000 – Shoplifting, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC, and
  • Disguise with intent, contrary to section 351(2) of the CC.

 

The accused was released by way of Promise to appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 5, 2019, in Haileybury, Ontario.
