angusMP Charlie Angus says the Conservative’s budget surplus is like being played by like a carnival shell game.
The Federal Finance department announced a $1.9 billion surplus, putting a smile from ear-to-ear on Conservative leader Stephen Harper.  NDP, MP, Charlie Angus says  the surplus only exists because money promised to seniors and veterans never came about.

“Like a billion dollars spent on veterans never happened, $14 million in Fednor funding.  They just keep promising money then tucking it away and call it a surplus.”

Angus believes voters are getting tired of back handed ways to do politics.

“We’re in a recession and dragging the economy without moving forward.  He said we’d be an energy superpower and he hasn’t re-invested in the energy sector.  He didn’t invest into diversification in agriculture, and manufacturing and people are seeing through this.”
