**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service needs your help in solving a debit card theft from a senior victim in the Timmins area.

On Thursday, March 21st at approximately 1:00 in the afternoon the victim had just completed a purchase at a business in the City of Timmins when an individual  distracted her long enough to reach into her wallet and remove her Debit card and Health Card. The Debit card was subsequently used at an Automatic Teller Machine at a Pharmacy located in South Porcupine within the City of Timmins.  The Debit card was then used to make purchases of pre paid Visa cards at the pharmacy’s cash counter. It was also used at another business in the Porcupine Mall to purchase pre paid Mastercards.

The total amount of unauthorized purchases is in the amount of $2,336.35. 

The suspects were captured on CCTV in one of the businesses and their images can be seen on the Cochrane District Crime Stoppers Face book page.  Someone knows something about these individuals who mercilessly took advantage of this victim.
