**TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation received a cheque for $8300 to purchase this specialty unit.

This new unit will be housed in various departments and will improve the overall patient experience. Porcupine Kinsmen member John Curley knew that we needed one in our Hospital after he saw the unit in action in Sudbury. “As a service club who has been in the community for many years we look for ways to give back to the community.”

TADH ER Manager Kim Bazinet said: “the generosity of the public is overwhelming and this is just one example of that.”

About the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (TADHF) is an accredited charity, formed to support the Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) by raising funds for medical equipment, beyond funding available from government sources.

Since 1985, TADHF has transferred more than $43 Million to TADH, providing funds essential to ensure our Hospital and healthcare teams can deliver the best in specialized care to patients in the district.

Our ultimate goal, with the assistance of our donors, our volunteers, Hospital staff and health care professionals is to provide the best health care to our community.
