**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

In an effort to support the upcoming Northern College Pow Wow, the Timmins Police Service has made a financial donation to the organizers of this cultural event.

Timmins Police Community Liaison Coordinator – Brenda Beaven was called upon to make the cheque presentation to Joe Nakogee – Indigenous Students Advisor for Northern College.

This event serves as an opportunity to appreciate local Indigenous culture in a celebratory setting on the weekend of April 12, 13 and 14th.

The Timmins Police Service takes great pride in providing support to this endeavor and will be calling upon Auxiliary Officer Jessica Spence to carry the Timmins Police flag at the opening ceremonies.
