Have you ever wondered what your first encounter with a superhero would be like? If you nodded yes, well you can have that question answered this weekend. The annual Timmins Con is back and is likely going to make a “Hulk Smash” at the McIntyre Curling Club.

“Last year was our most successful year to date. We did a lot of internal changes/external changes, and we’ve carried on with that model and actually expanded upon it. We’re hoping for the same turnout as last year. Plus, with some of the attractions we’re bringing this year; Like Allison (Allison Brunet Professional Stunt Double), we have inflatables for the kids and a life size Jabba the Hutt, and we’re hoping these attractions will bring more people to our event.” Said Jason Denis: President of the Northern Ontario Expo.

This event has been growing more and more each year. With that said, where can we expect Timmins Con to be in the next five years?

“Our goal has always been to be able to take over the entire McIntyre arena like the Sportsman Show does on an annual basis, but were working our way to that goal.” -Said Denis, and considering how much attraction this event has received in a short amount of time that goal could be achieved before that five year mark.

The event is for people of all ages, and it will be taking place on April 13-14 from 10am-6pm at the McIntyre Curling Club.
