**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman stemming from a dispute which took place during the afternoon hours of Friday, May 10th, at a Fifth Avenue residence in Timmins.
The responding Timmins Police Service officers completed their investigation which indicates that a female suspect attended at the residence without permission or invitation and is alleged to have become assaultive towards the occupants of the residence.

The suspect was identified, located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service as short while later.
As a result of this incident, Maria CORRALES-MENENDEZ, 49, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Unlawfully in a Dwelling contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 2 counts of Uttering Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused was held in police custody and subsequently released at her bail hearing but must re-attend at Provincial Court in Timmins on May 28th to answer to the charges laid against her.
