**TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL NEWS RELEASE**


Representatives of the Knights of Columbus/Chevaliers de Colomb and Daughters of Isabelle/Filles d’Isabelle , 2 councils from Timmins attended Timmins and District Hospital Thursday afternoon to deliver  cheques totaling $3,000 to the Foundation. These funds continue their ongoing contributions to the purchase of a neo-natal ventilator for our Hospital. Present for Conseil Theriault #6808 were Leo Chaumont -passer grand chevalier and Leonard Benoit- grand chevalier and for Cercle Mere Teresa #1353 were Yolande Guertin – régente and Lorraine Cloutier – ex-régente

Members of the St-Eugene de Mazenod council began the initiative in 2018 when they learned of our Hospital’s need for a neo-natal ventilator which carries a price tag of $44,000. In partnership with the chapters of the Knights of Columbus and the Daughters of Isabelle these groups helped contribute to purchase of this life-saving equipment.

We are very grateful to all the members of these councils of the Knights of Columbus/Chevaliers de Colomb and Daughters of Isabelle/Filles d’Isabelle for rallying in support of Timmins and District Hospital to help babies from throughout the district stay close to their families in their time of need,” stated Barb McCormick, TADH Foundation Manager of Donor Relations. “We commend these service group’s hard work and dedication to Jackpot City and the communities they serve,” added McCormick.
