**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service is issuing a “Traffic Advisory” in relation to an anticipated traffic interruption slated for Wednesday September 25th
The affected area will encompass Algonquin Blvd. between Pine Street and Balsam Street as this area will be closed to all vehicular traffic between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate members of the community and a large number of local primary and secondary school students to attend at city hall for a special ceremony honoring the francophone community.
It is expected that the ceremony and the related road closure will be completed by 2:30 pm.
Timmins Public Works Department personnel will be erecting sufficient barricades to act as a perimeter around the affected area.
The public’s anticipated cooperation is appreciated as this measure is deemed necessary to ensure the safety of those in attendance at the ceremonies devoted to this cultural event.
