**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service arrested two local persons yesterday (Oct 15) on the strength of arrest warrant stemming from various incidents.
A Timmins Police Service officer was completing patrols of the downtown core area when the officer recognized a man as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

The man was interviewed by the officer while the validity of the warrant was being confirmed.
Once confirmed, Shawn SUTHERLAND, 34, of Timmins, Ontario, was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against the person.

Later that same day, while completing patrols of an assigned patrol zone, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a pedestrian as being a person who is allegedly wanted on the strength of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Provincial Court in Timmins.
The person was interviewed by the officer while the validity of the warrant was confirmed.
As a result, Paul DUROCHER, 46, of Timmins was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the original charges laid against the person.
