You’ve heard that the Living Space has created a shoebox project to donate to people who are less fortunate during the holiday’s; Well the local Allstate brand in Timmins is taking part in the same project but it works a little differently.

“Our organization has been a part of this now for four years. This is the first year in Timmins for us locally, so we are actually a drop off location as well. We are partnering directly with Shoebox Canada, and all the boxes that we get dropped off here in Timmins will go directly to the Timmins Area Women Crisis. So everything that we get is staying local.” -Jessica Hardy Agency Manager Allstate Insurance Company of Canada

Things that you can put in the shoeboxes are: Hygiene products, anything sweet like candy, anything that is soothing, socks, anything warm and fuzzy, anything that is girly, or even some gift cards with a value of 10$. Hardy went on to add that they would like for everything in the shoebox to add up to $50 worth of things.

“Last year we had close to 1800 boxes and this year we are hoping to get to that 2000 mark.” -Said Hardy.

You have until December 11th to drop off the shoebox and you can bring it to the Allstate office that is located in the Timmins Square.
