firearmsA local man is facing several weapons charges following an incident on Mountjoy Street South in the City of Timmins.

On the 12th of August 2015, Timmins Police officers responded to a complaint of a male who had discharged a paintball gun, striking a passing vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle searched the area where the paintballs originated from and was met by the suspect who was wearing a black paintball mask. At which time, the suspect pointed the weapon directly at the driver for a period of time before running back into his residence.

Police responded to the incident and arrested the suspect at his residence following the incident. A search warrant was obtained and the search of the residence produced several items which were seized by police including crossbows, several pellet guns, air soft guns, and paint ball guns.

35-year old Michael Allen of Timmins now faces charges of Assault with a Weapon, Discharging Firearm with Intent, Pointing Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Disguise with Intent.
