**PPE DRIVE NEWS RELEASE**

From Saturday, May 2nd, to Wednesday, May 6th, the Timmins PPE Drive will
be open for PPE donations from 8 am to 8 pm at the EMS CDSSAB Ambulance Bay at 500

The Timmins PPE Drive is a local initiative by frontline workers for frontline workers. This
initiative has been spearheaded by a group of Timmins medical staff to help prepare and protect
frontline workers in the event of a PPE shortage due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Help us help you” – organizers’ message to the community.

Timmins is currently not experiencing a PPE shortage. This initiative is a proactive measure to
prepare the community in the event of a PPE shortage. These donations will be distributed to
frontline workers across the region. This includes, but is not limited to, TDH hospital employees,
Timmins Police, EMS and nursing home staff.

The Timmins PPE Drive is asking individuals and businesses to donate any of the following
PPEs:

• Face Shields and Visors
• Safety Goggles (with top and side covers)
• Gloves (vinyl and nitrile)

Trained volunteers, primarily medical professionals, will be at the EMS Ambulance Bay ready to
receive PPE donations from May 2nd to May 6th, from 8 am to 8 pm.
