**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area in the last 24 hours. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 67, two of which remain active.

The province is beginning to plan for the safe reopening of schools in the fall but since the decision of whether to return to the normal school day routine will be based on medical advice and the COVID-19 situation at the time, we won’t know until at least August what to expect. This uncertainty can make children anxious, especially if they are entering a new school. To help children cope, stay informed and keep checking in with them. Offer comfort and honesty. Help them feel in control by talking about ways they can keep themselves safe; for example, washing their hands often and coughing into a tissue.

COVID-19 is still circulating, and we expect to see more cases. If you’re sick, please stay home and call to get tested. Always use proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer, and do not touch your face. When you are around people outside of your social circle: keep 2 metres between yourself and others or wear a mask where that’s not possible.
