The Timmins Police Service was called to the scene of a collision involving a school bus and an SUV at approximately 8:10 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Tamarack Street in Timmins.

Timmins Police Service officers responded immediately to the scene and began providing first aid and proceeding with their investigation into the collision.

None of the school aged children were injured nor was the bus driver.

The driver of the SUV was transported to Timmins and District Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The 42 year old female driver of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder has been charged with Failing to Yield to traffic on Through Highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
